Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
Coastal Crest Notary ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through our website and mobile notary services, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using this site or requesting our services, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to schedule and perform notary and related services:
- Contact details you provide - name, phone number, and email address.
- Appointment details - the service requested, signing location, preferred date and time, and any notes you send us.
- Identity information viewed at the appointment - as required by Florida law, we examine a valid government-issued photo ID to verify your identity. We record only the journal entries the law requires and do not retain copies of your ID unless a specific transaction requires it.
- Basic website data - standard server and analytics information such as pages visited and general location, used to keep the site working and improve it.
How we use your information
- To respond to your request and schedule your appointment.
- To perform the notarial or fingerprinting service you requested.
- To maintain the notary journal and records required by Florida law.
- To follow up about your service and, only if you agree, to share occasional updates.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to complete your request - for example, with a title company or lender for a loan signing you arranged - or when required by law, court order, or to comply with notary record-keeping obligations.
Data retention and security
We keep notary journal records for the period required by Florida law and retain other information only as long as needed for the purposes above. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices
You may ask us what information we hold about you, request corrections, or ask us to stop contacting you for non-essential messages by emailing info@coastalcrestnotary.com. We cannot delete records we are legally required to keep.
Text messaging
If you contact us by text or provide your mobile number, you consent to receive text messages from us about your request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time.
Children's privacy
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
